The angle view shows that the spikes have some slight irregularity to them.
Looking down the line they should all match up. Some subtle sanding and shaping should fix that

This view show the small holes in the back of each one that has been drilled to accept the spikes that will be added later
These small slices of brass tube will form the base of the spikes
