Gear shift onto something else. Have to block in the back area for the shuttle bay. So how do I do that.
I smush some plastercine into the opening to try and get a shape
It is a bit softer then I want and the shape is not the best but I go with it
I cut a piece of sheet styrene and give it a shot. Some bit of filing later and I get something that fits mostly
At the top left there is a gap that needs to be fixed
So I modify my template to get a better fit. I will use this template to make a better one that fits
Done
Now I take the same template for the other side. Surprise the other side shape is different. It is a bit larger as you can see by the modified template. In a perfect world the left and right openings are the same but we don't live in a perfect world. This template was a bugger to get sorted out
